Canadian Investment Land.com
Hello, everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that I recently founded http://canadianinvestmentland.com/ together with my uncle, George Friesen. We have over 4000 acres of land for sale in NorthWestern Ontario, and Southeast Manitoba. Parcels start at 40 acres and up. You can view video's and maps of these properties at our website. The website also has more info regarding the area, and has links of interest regarding log cabin building and info about the Canadian Boreal Forests.
The website is still under construction, but is starting to come along nicely. We have a contact form there, and would be happy to answer any questions you have.
I'm not sure this post belongs in this topic, or even on this forum. Shelby, if you remove it, I will fully understand.
Thanks,
Leonard Wall

Another new listing.

40 Acres of perfect land for the survivalist. This parcel is spitting distance from the US, just on the Canadian side of Rainy River. Minnesota is the state to the south.

PR stuff
I heard there are a lot of Americans looking for other places to live.
They need more info like (Peace and safety)... Maybe I should bring down my saw and ax and develop your holdings. We can build log cab's and barns, turn key!
Just some PR stuff.

I had some pictures emailed to me of that latest property I posted. I also have some maps showing the exact spot. Google earth has only blurry data from that area, and quite old, but you can check that out for yourself. It is so close to the town of Piney, Manitoba that you will not have trouble locating it on Google earth with the discription given on my website. I will try to have the pics and maps for that property on the website tonight, sometime.
As far as cabin building goes, I plan to build one this spring. You could do the same. I can give you a break in price on the property that's on the home page....say...$15,000, but you pay the lawyer fees. I think that would come to about $1,400. I will only give you a break in the price if you promise to build yourself a cabin. I would want to see how you do.

Bad Economy a Myth
I have not been able to give away any land. No one will commit to build a log cabin as the only stipulation to receive 5 acres of arable land. I therefore conclude that the economy is managable to the vast majority of North Americans.
What we have here is an unraveling of a spoiled populace. Relief is not an uncommon emotion expressed by the those who encounter the end of an unsustainable event. When the temper tantrum subsides, then it will be time to invest.

Exactly! Except there is an underlying bad economy, except as you astutely point out, the population is not jumping ship yet. I have described this "slow withering" economically:

So yes, get back into the real economy and extract real capital from it. Btw, I am achieving some success, I have already 50+ members in my new social network which was just launched this week. I have to add video+audio chat, before it can really blast off and be monetized. There will be money making opportunities. I will try to alert you. If it fits you, you may email me your current email address, so I know how to contact you privately.

I believe distant centric social networks are the last gasps of a dying, leech economy. Local networks will create value for creative/productive participants.
If your network is irrepressible, you will not need my input. If your network is irresisitible, I will likely participate. My email address is no secret "leonard@canadianinvestmentland.com"

Why should all trade in knowledge be only local geographically? What about locality of shared interests? Geography is not the only metric of distance.
However, local geography does aid certain types of interaction. I see nothing wrong with that trend if happen, because people can be connected to internet even if they live in far flung close knit communities.
