The rare NWT/Pan American 100oz bars are often mentioned (along with the very rare APMEX branded bars, also made by NWT) as the most beautiful 100oz bars in the industry, because of their near perfect satin finish and edges. They apparently do not come to market often, because they are so risky and hard to obtain, and the owners of the bars love them. I realize selling for spot+% or spot+$ on GWT is a bit time consuming, because currently GWT adjusts the spot only once per day. So the seller ends up manually adjusting his sell price limit throughout the day. This is especially time consuming, because there is not yet enough buyers to make product sell fast. When I first read the headline, I didn't pay attention to the "Alumn" and so the impression is given that Trump is excited. Actually he is just trying to ride his fame, and Trump has nothing to do with this. If you read my analysis above, you can see he does not stand a chance against GWT from the standpooint of the actually functionality of the service, this reality will become clear over the next 2 - 3 weeks.

However, he does bring to the table marketing ability, so at the appropriate time, I will be contacting him to offer to partner in some way. I have a couple of ideas of how we might help each other. In short, he should leverage my programming, and I should leverage his marketing. But it is too early yet to approach him, maybe in about 3 weeks.

Tangentially, I am also busy writing a new Adobe Flash application for another business I am working on. Gives me a chance to flex my technology muscles, as I haven't been able to do much since I programmed Art-O-Matic and Corel Painter back in mid-90s. Actually I see several businesses coming from this, as I had an epiphany with ActionScript 3.0 (I'm actually working in haXe, a superset form) and doing JPEG compression from a SWF instance (e.g. free Flash Player in every browser) to a server and out to other clients without needing the Adobe Media Server. Many "YouTube" like personal sites should spring from this...

1. I request we end up all legacy thoughts, discussions, postings, feelings, misgivings, conflicts, animosity, etc. that connect GWT with past affiliations in this precious metals sector. The training wheels have been removed, it is time to move on, be 100% focused on the success below. What happens in those legacies, is now irrelevant and not productive. I for one am suddenly being bombarded by more lucrative new business opportunities (some I can not mention yet) than I can handle, both in the precious metals sector and in the technology sector in general. GWT remains my top priority, and needs to be brought to success asap, because other opportunities are piling up in the queue.


2. Next level in GWT's business volume is hinging on release of two new features:

a) Ability to lock in price instantly using a credit card guarantee, before wiring full payment

b) Affiliate program for other sites, writers, etc to earn 30% lifetime revenue share on customers they send to GWT via their affiliate link to GWT. This newsletter & gold site sector is hurting for revenue streams, so the affiliate program should be a smashing success. As I pointed out, tulving.com is doing $25 million gross per month. Our model should out-compete his, taking perhaps 1 year to ramp up from our current $80K gross per month level.


3. The item "2a" above is the top priority, and was not completed on schedule this past week, because I have been sidetracked writing a JPEG compression/decompression library for Adobe Flash (which I hope to finish on Sunday). I will get this item "2a" done in next few days, because I need "2a" for myself for something urgent that I will mention below.


4. The item "2b" above is scheduled to be completed well before Xmas, I hope by 2nd week of December. Also I have many other items in my TODO list which need to get done within next few weeks, probably encompassing many of the issues you may have with GWT (I know what is in your minds). Try to remember that GWT is essentially a beta product at this moment, which we rushed to market due to the urgent need in the marketplace. Try not to misjudge beta products harshly, as normally they are not intended for general public, just for testers. I hope to bring GWT up to the level of "first official release candidate" within a few weeks. Those using it in meantime, do not need to be concerned as I am watching every transaction carefully for issues and glitches.


5. As of Friday, I am now scheduled to produce 1oz rounds on Dec. 15, so I urgently need to either sell more silver or gold (expect maybe special offer on my gold coins), and/or offer to let some of you produce your 1000oz bars with me. I will also need to run a poll in the forum to help in choosing the die for reverse side of the production run. Expect follow up email about this perhaps on Monday.

The upside of this, is that GWT will have at minimum 10,000 oz of "Walking Liberty" silver rounds for sale hopefully in late Dec or early January. I expect to sell mine for spot + 25%, which will be considerably below any one else's price, yet still a nice premium for me.


6. As the market sets the premiums (hey I don't decide, the market does), these premiums are helping to accelerate the off-take of bars from the Comex, which will ultimately lead to a rocket shot in silver price with a Comex delivery default. I do not expect that delivery default in Dec as some others are speculating about. The main goal is to make the free market work more efficiently, to accelerate volume of offtake (not just price), which means getting more people involved as seller and buyers, not just in trying to extract artificially (non-free market constructs or marketing gimicks) high premiums at the cost of laying the foundations for market efficiency. Remember that price is meaningless, if volume isn't specified. So price alone is not the goal. Silver bugs need more volume and price, in order to break the non-free market. Having super high prices, but only doing 1/100th of the physical volume, is irrelevant activity with respect to changing the overall market to freedom.

Not boasting, but I think by now (after many false starts, fits of learning experiences, etc), I have the correct long-term view of what needs to be. It is now a matter of implementation, so if I am silent, it means I am very busy implementing what we need to go to the next levels in the market.

Apparently if you search for "1oz silver" or "1oz gold" then an eBay listing will appear, then you can click it to purchase the "Buy Now" silver and gold items, and get a 25% cashback when you pay using Paypal. There is a $2,500 limit per calendar year, so perhaps you could do it now and again in January. Apparently they can take up to 90 days to give you your cashback, but apparently some Paypal transactions are immediately credited with the cashback. I am guessing these are where the payment not by credit card, but is deducted from the checking account you have verified and attached to your Paypal account.

So in theory, although strictly speaking you might in violation of the terms of the Live.com agreement (how would they find out?, it might even be illegal I am not sure) I am guessing you could have someone you trust list some gold or silver at eBay with BuyNow for $10,000, then you could go buy it, have that person return the $ to you. So then in effect you would be getting $2,500 for free minus any eBay and Paypal fees?

Apparently if you pay by eCheck, then Paypal fee is only $5. And the eBay fee is only 2.4% if amount so large $10,000.

Caution: I can think of many pitfalls. The terms & conditions reads to me like Live.com may be trying to lock people into some kind of subscription service. Who knows how long they may hold your cashback, and/or hold the money that is supposed to be paid to the seller (see in this forum where I discussed Paypal horror stories). Also maybe they will suspect if the seller has low or no history.

Thus this is not worth my time/risk opportunity cost to try myself. Disclaimer: this is not advice, consult your own.

Btw, if you are thinking of generally selling on eBay, remember they require you to accept Paypal, and if the amount is closer to $1000 or so, and the Buyer pays by credit card (which they usually do and you are forced to accept this), then you fees will be north of 11%, plus apparently there is risk you may never get paid, long delays, paperwork requests, or other hassles:

The protection program only works 100% sure IF the seller either sends you an untracible package or if the seller sends nothing IN THE USA; however IF the buyer threatens or does a chargback they will WIN this dispute because PP views that a chargeback is inevitable and doesn't want to be hassled by processing it. The SNAD disputes are almost allways settled in the BUYER's favor. I imagine they will limit a buyer to 1 to 3 INR claims a quarter before freezing their account

The buyer is in effect given the licence to rip off 1 to 4 ebay sellers a year, getting their money back and KEEPING THEIR ITEM without any hope of (legal) recourse. Thanks a lot paypal

There is a limit of $200 per item so the most you can buy would be something worth $1000 at one time to max the benefit. You could buy some individual gold coins this way and it bring the cost back down to a more normal level.

Originally had the forum's threads sorted that way (newest posts at top of each thread), but the open source phpBB software which runs this forum (and thousands other forums on the internet) has a bug, wherein the links to individual posts break over time (as new posts are added to a thread), if the sorting is set to newest posts at top of threads. That is why you will find a lot of the links in my older posts broken (in my TODO list to go back and fix old links in old posts, but doubt I will ever find time to do it).

I remember this bug from several years ago, and I guess I am just going to have to find some time to fix phpBB one of these days...but I probably said that years ago also...I am not the creator of phpBB...
