He says there's no me without him, please help me forget about him
I need to tell you all, all the pain he's caused, mmmm
He says it's impossible, but I know it's possible
Please come free my mind, please come meet my mind
Can you see my mind, oh
Free, free your mind... free, free your mind
Oh, it's so possible, oh it's so possible
To finally be in love, and know the real meaning of
A lasting relationship, not based on ownership
I trust every part of you, cuz all that I... All that you say you do
You love me despite myself, sometimes I fight myself
He's my peace of mind, he's my peace of mind
What a joy it is to be alive
To get another chance, yeah
Everyday's another chance
To get it right this time
Everyday's another chance
Oh what a merciful, merciful, merciful God
You are my peace of mind, that old me is left behind
You love me despite myself, sometimes I fight myself
I just can't believe that you, would have anything to do
With someone so insecure, someone so immature
Oh you inspire me, to be the higher me
You made my desire pure, you made my desire pure
Just tell me what to say, I can't find the words to say
Please don't be mad with me, I have no identity
All that I've known is gone, all I was building on
I don't wanna walk with you, how do I talk to you
Touch my mouth with your hands, touch my mouth with your hands
Oh I wanna understand, the meaning of your embrace
I know now I have to face, the temptations of my past
Please don't let me disgrace, where my devotion lays
Now that I know the truth, now that it's no excuse
Keeping me from your love, what was I thinking of?
Holding me from your love, what was I thinking of?

1998 music video foretold 9-11 event
I just discovered this. I Google and appears no one else have noticed this.
Watch the beginning and end of this video and notice the Empire State is the tallest building on NY skyline:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGUsF-Whb1g&feature=related
Then watch the 2:50 point foward. She says "some convinced that they might fall" and they show a building that looks like WTC and the people looking upward with a big hand coming from the sky.
Someone knew what was planned...
=================

> not see (in my case).

Because you do not see the hidden pattern. Read what I wrote again, and watch for the elements I described, then you will see it.
Do you think they were come right out and say it? It is hidden on purpose, but once you see it, it is a remarkably unlikely those elements would be there in that way (even as a random expression of art). Someone who understand probabilities would understand that it is probably on the order of 1 in billion, with perhaps only 10,000 commercial music videos published during that epoch.

I heard this live, fell in love with it
You can hear (even if you don't understand the words) the deep and natural love of the filipino:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko1N5C0Qv-A&feature=related
Especially from the 2:10 min point forward.
Also the main theme of the song, "Ako Sayo, Ikaw sa akin, lamang", means "I am for you, you are for me, forever". It is a song about life long love. It is about being the one for each other. The way it used to be...

re: Happy Bday
Thanks 44 is done, now on to 50...I hope I don't die from a (n intentional?) painkiller injection so that record labels can collect on my $500 million debt from sale of skyrocketing popularity of memoribillia
45?
Happy Birthday Shelby...

Dion - Runaround Sue (also Del Shannon has a version)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c49klxPex-k
Something about this song really gets me fired up. Not the words, but just the ambience/vocal style/rythem of the song.

Stevie Wonder - A Place In The Sun
His best was his first:

Keith Whitley - I'm Over You

Apparently he wasn't over "you" (which is the reverse psychology point of the song), as he did from alcohol overdose.

My Dad used to work in Century City for Exxon before he became West Coast Division Head Attorney when they moved their offices to Thousand Oaks, CA in 1984, and so I thought he was there watching the race, since it was only about 5 minute drive over, but turns out he showed up after I already won, with his "girlfriend" (who later became his 3rd and current wife who vehemently opposed my father having a loving relationship with his children, after divorcing my stepmother his 2nd wife).
Prince ("Little Red Corvette, "Purple Rain", etc) reminds me of the era when I came back to Los Angeles after transfering colleges back from Louisiana State University, and reminds me a blur of a time spending most of my time on my Suzuki 550ES motorcycle and where you couldn't find the carpet of my room, because I couldn't justify the time to pick anything up off the floor. My house is sort of like that now...
I remember when I was at LSU, and I would go out an run a 5:06 mile on the track like it was nothing, just messing around a couple times per week. I struggle to run a 6:30 min mile now on a treadmill.
shelby;41471 wrote:The runner's high is a secret to way I handle this physical world.
Btw, my best time was high 4:20s for a mile. Not quite state championship level. I would have qualified for state championships, but I torn my hamstring in 12th grade. I was also into football as a defensive back.
shelby;41476 wrote:Neil you are very smart and wise. I can sense it from your writings. And you've helped me a lot. There are so many things that I can not do well, so I try to be happy with the things I've tried to do and have done reasonably well. But I was not even the top miler on our track team, until 12th grade where I was between #1 and #3, at different points in that final year. My legs are not long enough, and my body not long/lean enough, to be a world-class runner at any distance. And my raw speed is not world class either. I think we were roughly the same speed at middle distance (2+ miles), you probably beat me at 10K (I think my best was 35 mins), and I would beat you at mile and below. But then there are whole group of other guys that can beat me at 1 mile and below. I am just happy that I went that fast at one time. I wish I could set aside some time to train and do it again. Would be a great feeling. Do you ever think of trying to beat your old times?

Oh very young one will you leave us this time. You are only DANCING on this earth for a short while. Your dreams will vanish away like faded blue jeans, but you want to last forever, but you know you never will, and that will just make the Goodbye harder still. There will never be a better time to change your mind, and if you want to see better days, will you carry the words of love with you, ride the great white bird to heaven.
Just remember if your name is written in the Book of Life, you will live forever. Live life for the love. Spread the love.
