Prince ("Little Red Corvette, "Purple Rain", etc) reminds me of the era when I came back to Los Angeles after transfering colleges back from Louisiana State University, and reminds me a blur of a time spending most of my time on my Suzuki 550ES motorcycle and where you couldn't find the carpet of my room, because I couldn't justify the time to pick anything up off the floor. My house is sort of like that now...

I remember when I was at LSU, and I would go out an run a 5:06 mile on the track like it was nothing, just messing around a couple times per week. I struggle to run a 6:30 min mile now on a treadmill.

Btw, my best time was high 4:20s for a mile. Not quite state championship level. I would have qualified for state championships, but I torn my hamstring in 12th grade. I was also into football as a defensive back.

But then there are whole group of other guys that can beat me at 1 mile and below. I am just happy that I went that fast at one time. I wish I could set aside some time to train and do it again. Oh very young one will you leave us this time. You are only DANCING on this earth for a short while.
